CALL FOR TUTORIALS

In addition to the regular research and workshop program, FIS2010 aims to feature a tutorial program that complements the main conference by providing state-of-the-art background material and addresses the interests of practitioners that wish to learn new technologies. Tutorials may be either for a full day or a half day, and should cover topics related to the Future Internet. We encourage organizers to incorporate hands-on sessions where appropriate.

CALL FOR WORKSHOPS

Workshops in FIS2010 will complement the symposium by providing a forum for active discussions and exchange of ideas focused on cross-domain issues related to the Future Internet. The purpose of the workshops will be to provide an informal setting for attendees, potentially affiliated to different Internet disciplines to discuss scientific and technical issues, share experiences, and to lay the foundations for the establishment of the cross-domain research community which will shape the Future Internet research agenda.

CALL FOR DEMOS AND POSTERS

To complement the main symposium programme, FIS 2010 will hold a combined Poster and Demonstration session. The Poster/Demo Session is an opportunity for presenting late-breaking results, ongoing research projects, and speculative or innovative work in progress. Posters and demos are also intended to provide authors and participants with the ability to network with each other and to engage in technical discussions about the work. Technical posters, reports on Future Internet software systems, descriptions of completed work, and work in progress are all welcome. Demonstrations are intended to showcase innovative Future Internet related implementations and technologies.

CALL FOR RESEARCH ABSTRACTS FOR THE DOCTORAL CONSORTIUM

The doctoral consortium will bring together PhD students around the STI International research community, in order to present the latest progress in their doctoral research and open their newest ideas up to discussion. It will help the students concretize their research intentions and receive feedback on the soundness and completeness of their achieved work. Presenting their own work to a peer group also constitutes a good opportunity for them to practice the defense of their dissertation.
